The Executive Mayor, Alderman Peter Teixeira, and MMC Thembi Modiba recently welcomed a new fleet comprising of ten state-of-the-art tractors and four advanced slashers.
The tractors and slashers were procured through the capital budget at a cost of R3.7 million.
These new additions will bolster our existing fleet, bringing the total number of tractors to twenty-eight (28).
The recent surge in rainfall has led to rapid grass growth causing a backlog in various areas.

The introduction of this new fleet will play a pivotal role in addressing any backlog in grass-cutting across Midvaal.
This procurement is also aimed at enhancing our capabilities by adding to our grass-cutting cycle, a crucial aspect of municipal maintenance.
As a municipality, we remain unwavering in our commitment to delivering service excellence.
This investment reaffirms our dedication to maintaining the pristine appearance of our community, ensuring a well-kept and pleasing environment for all residents.
