NEWCASTLE, KWAZULU-NATAL – South Africa is celebrating another remarkable international achievement after 16-year-old Chrizmie Mostert from Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, made history by winning the prestigious Teen Model World 2026 title in Bogotá, Colombia.
The young model, entrepreneur and disability advocate first earned the crown of Miss Teen Universe South Africa 2025, securing the opportunity to represent the country on the global stage. Her victory in Colombia marks a historic milestone, making her the first contestant in the Teen category under Miss Teen Universe South Africa to win an international world title.
From Newcastle to the World Stage
Despite her young age, Chrizmie has already established herself as one of South Africa’s rising stars in the fashion and modeling industry.
Her growing list of achievements includes being named the Junior Photogenic Winner in an international competition featuring contestants from eight countries in 2025, earning recognition as an International Photogenic Icon for her exceptional presence in front of the camera.
She is also the official ambassador for Pink Territory Perfume, while continuing to build her reputation as a young entrepreneur inspiring teenagers across South Africa to pursue their dreams with confidence and determination.
In 2024, she further cemented her growing profile by winning the coveted PPMC Magazine Miss Victorious overall title.
Turning Personal Challenges into Purpose

Beyond the runway, Chrizmie is passionate about making a meaningful difference in society.
She is the founder of the Brain Bloom Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness about learning disabilities and supporting children, parents, educators and families navigating similar challenges.
Living with ADHD, severe dyslexia and dyscalculia, Chrizmie has transformed her own experiences into a powerful platform for advocacy.
Rather than allowing her learning disabilities to define her, she has become an inspiring voice encouraging young people to believe that success is possible regardless of the obstacles they face.
“My journey has taught me that with the right support, education and self-belief, every child has the potential to thrive,” she says through her advocacy work.
Her family’s commitment to community service and charity has also played a significant role in shaping her passion for helping others.
A Life Beyond the Crown
Away from competitions and public appearances, Chrizmie maintains a balanced lifestyle focused on physical and mental wellbeing.
Her interests include pilates, runway fashion, fitness training, running and regular gym sessions, activities that help her stay disciplined while preparing for the demands of international modeling.
Global Opportunities Await
Winning the Teen Model World crown has opened new international doors for the young South African.
During her reign, Chrizmie is expected to participate in prestigious events including Colombia Fashion Kids, Orlando Fashion Kids, and several other international fashion showcases.
Her winning campaign also highlighted South African creativity through collaborations with local designers, alongside designers from Vietnam and Nigeria, demonstrating the country’s growing influence in global fashion.
A Proud South African Ambassador
In addition to her international success, Chrizmie recently co-hosted the 2025 National Arts and Culture Awards at Sun City, further establishing herself as one of South Africa’s emerging youth leaders.
As she continues to inspire young people through fashion, entrepreneurship and advocacy, Chrizmie Mostert is proving that determination, resilience and authenticity can break barriers and create opportunities on the world stage.
From Newcastle to Colombia, her journey is becoming a powerful reminder that South African talent continues to shine across the globe.
With a world title now under her belt and an expanding international career ahead, the future looks exceptionally bright for this remarkable teenager.
