Midvaal aim to sponsor students with their varsity studies for 2024
The Executive Mayor, Alderman Peter Teixeira, is still looking to fund qualifying students through their Midvaal Mayoral Student Financial Aid.
The Municipality is urging students to apply for this funding and take advantage of this opportunity.
Financial Aid is open to students in need of financial support for registration, books, or a laptop.
The Mayoral Student Financial Aid is a result of the Buang Batjha campaign, which led to the successful Youth Summit hosted on 17 November 2023.
The Buang Batjha campaign engaged young people in open discussions to address critical challenges such as poverty, substance abuse, and unemployment.
During the campaign, young people from Midvaal expressed the need for more support from the municipality for those pursuing higher education qualifications.
